May your choices reflect your hopes, not your fears.
I am a Bay Area local with over 10 years of experience helping people, as a teacher, caregiver, mentor, and counselor. I have worked with people of all ages through difficult and exciting life changes, including trauma, disability, addiction, struggles in primary relationships, early parenthood, family conflict, caregiving, exploration of gender and sexuality, and more. I’m also a sister, mother, ex-neuroscientist, compulsive journal writer, bicycler, and very slow reader. I am deeply committed to social justice and honoring the differences that make us who we are.

I will help you to connect with yourself and other people, in times of commitment, boredom, trouble, confusion, or celebration. If you wish to investigate a difficult past along the way, I will be with you; that decision is yours. I work with the inner parts of my clients when they are in conflict in order to restore peace. Neuroscience taught me that the brain and body are one, and tuning in to somatic (body) experience is one way I work, whether indoors or out, writing or reenacting, meditating or "just" talking. I meet you where you are, and together we find a way forward. This is true whether you are 8, 18, or 8o.
